In una ciotola, mescola la farina integrale e il sale. Aggiungi il burro tagliato a cubetti e lavora con le mani fino a ottenere un composto sabbioso.

Unisci la ricotta e impasta fino a formare un impasto morbido. Se necessario, aggiungi un po' d'acqua per rendere l'impasto più lavorabile.

Avvolgi l'impasto in pellicola trasparente e lascia riposare in frigorifero per 30 minuti.

Preriscalda il forno a 180°C e rivesti una teglia con carta forno.

Stendi l'impasto su un piano infarinato in un rettangolo di circa 30x20 cm.

Distribuisci il ripieno di noci al centro del rettangolo e fai dei tagli laterali con un coltello, creando delle strisce.

Ripiega le strisce di pasta sopra il ripieno, alternando i lati, per formare una treccia.

Sbatti l'uovo e spennella la superficie del Kringle.

Cuoci in forno per 30-35 minuti, finché non risulta dorato.
