Method

Tritare finemente la cipolla, la carota e il sedano con un coltello.

Scaldare l'olio extravergine in una pentola grande a fuoco medio-alto e rosolare il soffritto per 2-3 minuti fino a renderlo trasparente.

Aggiungere la carne macinata, spezzettarla con il cucchiaio e farla rosolare per 3-4 minuti fino a che non cambia colore.

Cospargere con zenzero, curcuma, curry, cannella, coriandolo e pepe; mescolare bene per 1 minuto in modo che le spezie si amalgamino alla carne.

Versare la passata di pomodoro e l'acqua, portare a ebollizione a fuoco medio-alto.

Aggiungere i ceci e le lenticchie rosse, quindi ridurre il fuoco a medio-basso e lasciare cuocere a fuoco moderato per 18-20 minuti, mescolando di tanto in tanto.

La zuppa è pronta quando le lenticchie sono tenere e il brodo ha assorbito gli aromi delle spezie.
