Se usi fagioli secchi, ammollali in acqua fredda per 12 ore, quindi scolali e bollili per 30 minuti finché non risultino quasi teneri; se usi fagioli in scatola, sciacquali bene sotto acqua corrente.

In una pentola ampia a fuoco medio, versa l'olio extravergine e aggiungi la cipolla tritata finemente, l'aglio schiacciato e i 2 rametti di rosmarino: rosola per 3 minuti finché la cipolla diventa trasparente.

Incorpora la carota e il sedano tagliati a dadini piccoli, cuoci per altri 2 minuti mescolando.

Aggiungi i pomodori ciliegia tagliati a metà, il prezzemolo tritato, sale e pepe; lascia cuocere 5 minuti affinché i pomodori inizino a rilasciare i succhi.

Versa i fagioli cotti e l'acqua, porta a ebollizione, quindi riduci il fuoco a medio-basso e copri parzialmente con un coperchio.

Cuoci per 30-40 minuti, mescolando di tanto in tanto: l'umido deve risultare cremoso ma non troppo brodoso; se troppo asciutto, aggiungi acqua a poco a poco.
