Lavare e snocciolate le ciliegie fresche, quindi trasferirle in un pentolino a fondo pesante.

Aggiungere lo sciroppo di carrube, il succo di limone filtrato e l'acqua.

Portare a ebollizione a fuoco medio, poi abbassare la fiamma e lasciare cuocere dolcemente per 25 minuti, mescolando occasionalmente.
